1: Sidi Kauki and the Atlantic Ocean

We head off from the small fishing village Sidi Kaouki just outside Essaouira where Ranch d’Essaouira is located.

Then we move south along the vast and almost deserted, grand Atlantic coastline. We will reach the place of the springs, Les Cascades. It is possible to take a shower in the water coming down from the mountains all year round. Here you will find herds of cattle and donkeys. We will go on excursions in the area and set camp three different places.

One of the places we visit is the location where the epic film “Alexander” with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was shot.

This tour features ocean and skies of scenic beauty and a chance to experience the mountains where we meet flocks of sheep and goats. We will visit small Berber villages in the mountains where people live as they have done for centuries.

On this tour it is possible for travelers who do not ride to go on quads. We have ponies if any children attend. Minimum age is 7. The pace on this tour will be suited to the wishes and the skills of the group.

There will be about 4-5 hours of riding per day with rich opportunity for hiking, swimming in the sea, or simply relaxing in the sun or in the tents.

There are 3 guides on this tour, and luggage is transported by car to our destinations.

Price includes five nights in authentic Berber tents, two nights (the first and last night), in our guest houses at Ranch d’Essaouira in Sidi kaouki, all meals and soft drinks.

We have 3 double rooms, 1 triple room and 1 room for 4 people. All the rooms have toilet and shower facilities. They are built in rustic Berber style and are situated around a tiled court yard with plants and flowers. From the huge roof top terrace there is a splendid view to the ocean and the sunsets.

Not included is: air fare transportation to and from the airports in Marrakech or Agadir, alcohol and insurance.We can arrange transport to and from the airport, if you want.

Price is 800 euros per person. Children under the age of 12 pay half price.
