3:Roundtrip Essaouira and the region

This trip is aimed at the more experienced rider. We will travel approx. 125 miles.

It is a journey of great natural beauty with varied riding in the Atlas mountains as well as along the Atlantic coast. Each night will be spent in a different location.

We head off from the small village of Sidi Kaouki where our ranch is situated, and then we move north into the Atlas mountains.

We reach rivers and springs where it is possible to swim- and with the horse as well. On our way we encounter shepherds with their sheep and goats, and arrive at small Berber villages where people live as they have done for centuries.

Two nights will be spent with a local Berber family. Other nights we will sleep in authentic Berber tents made of wool.

Then we move out to the coast and arrive at the place of the hot springs, Les Cascades where we will make our camp. This is a very beautiful and tranquil area with a view to the Atlantic Ocean. We then make our way back to the village of Sidi Kaouki. On our way we pass through the area where the epic film “Alexander” was shot.

When we reach Sidi Kaouki you stay one night at our own guesthouses. Then there is the possibility to visit Essaouira or to relax before getting back to Marrakech or Agadir.

We have 3 double rooms, 1 triple room and 1 room for 4 people. All the rooms are in rustic Berber style and are situated around a court yard with plants and flowers. Each room has toilet and shower facilities.

We will ride about 5-7 hours a day. Your luggage will be transported to the destinations by car. The number of participants is between 4 and 7. There are 3 guides on the tour.

Price include three nights in Berber tents, two nights with a local family and two nights at our guest houses in Sidi Kaouki (the first and the last night). All meals and soft drinks are included. Meals the last day are not included.

If you wish we can arrange transport from the airports in Marrakech or Agadir.

Not included is: Air fare, alcohol and insurances.

Price is 800 euros per person.
