Our rooms for rent

We have at Ranch d’Essaouira a number of rooms for rent.

They are all built in rustic Berber style with thick stone walls that make them cool in the summer and not too cold in the winter. Each room has its own specific colour theme.

The rooms are situated in the typical Moroccan style around a tiled court yard where there are plants and flowers.

There is also a huge roof top terrace with a fantastic view to the sea and where you can enjoy the sun and the sunsets. We have a small woollen Berber tent on the terrace to make shade and shelter for the wind which sometimes is very strong.

Each room has a toilet and shower facilities.

The electricity is somewhat unstable at times in Sidi Kaouki so it is adviced to be prepered for hours now and then with no power or water as we have an electric pump for the water. Bring a pocket lamp and candles in case electricity fails. It is also adviced to bring insect repellent products. The mosquitos and flies can be very annoying.

Outside the court yard we have a small café where guests can enjoy their breakfast and other meals.

We prepare traditional Moroccan dishes such as the “tajine”. The tajine is named after the pot in which it is cooked.The traditionel tajine pot is made of clay and consists of two parts: A round base and a lid shaped as a dome. The tajine dish is a slow-cooked stew braised at low temperature over charcoal, resulting in tender meat with aromatic vegetables and sauce. It is eaten with bread.

From the café there is a splendid view to the sea which is just outside the gates.
